For over 175 years, the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (FIHM) have offered a radiant witness to Christ’s love — grounded in the Franciscan spirit of simplicity, humility, and joy, and animated by devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Founded in Pondicherry in 1844 by the Servant of God Rev. Fr. Louis Savinien Dupuis, MEP, our sisters have responded to God’s call with hearts aflame — proclaiming the Gospel through education, healthcare, evangelization, and social transformation.
